Your privacy matters to us. Pour Toi is a platform built on trust, and this policy explains honestly and plainly what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over it.

This policy applies to the Pour Toi mobile application, website, and all associated services (collectively, the "Services"), operated by Lienskill Limited.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you register, you provide information such as your name, email address, phone number, gender, and date of birth. Your date of birth is used to verify that you are at least 18 years of age and to calculate your age for display on your profile.

1.2 Profile Information

You may choose to provide additional information to build your profile, including your biography, photos, city and country, relationship intentions, hobbies, and personal preferences. You may also provide information about your religious beliefs and practices, denominational affiliation, and faith-related values. You choose what to share and what to leave blank.

1.3 Sensitive and Special Category Data

Some information you may provide falls into categories that are treated with additional care under data protection laws (often called "special category" or "sensitive" data). On Pour Toi, this may include:

• Religious beliefs and faith practice — including religion, denomination, and level of observance.
• Relationship intentions — including your interest in marriage, co-wife acceptance, and family structure preferences.
• Gender — as provided in your profile.
• Date of birth — from which age is derived.
• Photos — which may reveal physical characteristics, health, or other sensitive attributes.

We process this data solely to provide the matching and connection services you have asked us for, and only to the extent necessary. We do not use sensitive data to make negative inferences or discriminatory decisions. You may update or remove sensitive data from your profile at any time through account settings.

1.4 Messages and Conversations

Messages sent through Pour Toi — including conversations with other members and interactions with the AI Coach — are stored on our servers. Messages are transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). We retain messages to provide the messaging service and for safety purposes. You may delete your account to request removal of your message data, subject to the retention exceptions described in Section 9.

1.5 Location Information

If you use the Nearby feature, we collect your device's approximate location and, optionally, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) signals. Location data is used only to facilitate nearby discovery sessions. We do not share your exact location with other members — only approximate distance and proximity level are used in matching. You may withdraw location permission at any time in your device settings. See Section 6 for more on the Nearby feature.

1.6 Usage and Behavioural Data

We collect information about how you use the Services, such as features accessed, interactions with profiles and matches, time and frequency of use, and content viewed. This data supports our safety and matching systems.

1.7 Device and Technical Information

We collect technical information about the device you use to access our Services, including device model, operating system, IP address, and app version. This information is used for security monitoring, fraud prevention, and maintaining service reliability.

1.8 Photos and Media

Profile photos and media you upload are stored on our servers and made accessible to other members in accordance with your visibility settings. Profile photos are processed through automated verification checks (see Section 5.1). Media access may be limited to certain membership tiers depending on your settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account and profile.
• To match you with compatible members based on your stated preferences, values, and intentions.
• To facilitate messaging, AI Coach interactions, and AI-mediated introductions.
• To conduct safety checks and behavioural risk assessments to protect members from harm.
• To verify profile photos and detect duplicate accounts.
• To process your subscription and manage billing through our payment processor.
• To provide the Nearby discovery feature when you enable it.
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service.
• To communicate with you about your account, service updates, and policy changes.
• To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests from authorities.

3. AI and Automated Processing

3.1 Behavioural Risk Assessment

We use automated systems to identify patterns that may indicate harmful behaviour, such as harassment, scamming, or fake profiles. These systems analyse your on-platform behaviour and reported incidents. If an automated system flags your account, a human member of our team will review the situation before any significant account action is taken. You have the right to appeal any restriction — see your account settings or contact support@pourtoi.love.

3.2 Fraud Detection and Device Verification

We maintain automated systems that monitor for suspicious login patterns, failed authentication attempts, and account behaviour that suggests fraud or abuse. We may also use a device verification process (a code sent to your device) to confirm account ownership and protect against unauthorised access. Technical device signals are used solely for security purposes and are not shared with other members.

3.3 AI-Assisted Matching

Our matching system uses the information in your profile — including values, faith preferences, relationship intentions, and behavioural data — to suggest potential connections. Matching is a tool to help you find compatible people; it does not guarantee compatibility or the suitability of any specific match.

3.4 AI Coach

The AI Coach feature allows you to have conversations with an AI assistant that provides guidance related to dating, profile presentation, and relationship intentions. These conversations are processed by AI systems and stored on our servers. See Section 4.2 for information about the AI service providers used.

3.5 AI-Generated Content

Some features on Pour Toi may produce content that has been fully or partially generated by AI, including suggested introductions and profile writing assistance. When AI generates content on your behalf, this is disclosed to you at the point of use. AI outputs are suggestions only — you remain responsible for any content you choose to send.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share your information in these limited circumstances:

4.1 With Other Members

Your profile information — including your display name, age, photos, bio, and stated preferences — is visible to other members in accordance with your visibility settings. Messages you send are shared with the recipient. Exact location is never shared; only approximate distance is used in nearby discovery.

4.2 With Service Providers (Sub-processors)

We work with third-party service providers who process data on our behalf under appropriate data processing agreements. These currently include:

• OpenAI — provides the AI language model used for the AI Coach feature. Conversation messages sent to the AI Coach are processed by OpenAI. OpenAI's data handling is governed by their API data usage policies.
• Google Vision API — provides automated image analysis used for profile photo verification, including face detection and AI-generated image screening. Photos submitted for verification are processed by Google's Vision API.
• PayPal — processes subscription payments. Payment details you provide are handled directly by PayPal under their privacy policy. We do not store your payment card information.
• Twilio — provides SMS and WhatsApp delivery for one-time passcodes used during authentication. Your phone number may be transmitted to Twilio to deliver these messages.
• Cloud infrastructure and hosting providers — our servers and data storage operate on cloud infrastructure. Data is processed in the regions where our infrastructure is hosted.

4.3 For Legal Compliance and Safety

We may disclose your information where required by law, court order, or in response to a valid request from a public authority. We may also share information where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the safety of any person, to prevent fraud, or to enforce our Terms of Service.

4.4 Business Transfers

If Pour Toi is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any change in ownership and applicable privacy terms.

5. Photo Verification and Automated Image Processing

All members are required to submit a profile photo for verification before their account becomes active. This photo is processed by our automated verification system, which uses Google Vision API to check for:

• The presence of a real human face meeting our minimum requirements.
• Indicators that the image may be AI-generated or digitally fabricated.
• The presence of multiple faces or faces that are too small to verify.

If an automated check raises a concern, your photo may be reviewed by a human member of our safety team. Photos that fail verification will not be published and you will be asked to resubmit. We do not use facial recognition to identify you across other platforms or contexts.

6. Location and Bluetooth (Nearby Feature)

The Nearby feature uses your device location and, optionally, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) signals to help you discover members who are physically nearby during active discovery sessions. Before the Nearby feature is activated for the first time, you will be asked to review and accept a dedicated consent flow that explains:

• What location data is collected and how it is used.
• That BLE uses anonymous, rotating tokens that change every 15 minutes.
• That your exact location is never shared with other members — only proximity level and approximate distance are used.
• The optional background location setting and when it activates.

Location data collected during Nearby sessions is used only for that purpose. You can withdraw consent and disable the Nearby feature at any time in your app settings. Withdrawing location permission does not affect your use of other Pour Toi features.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your personal information, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), access controls limiting who within our team can access your data, time-limited secure URLs for media access, and rate limiting and anomaly monitoring.

No security system is foolproof. We cannot guarantee that data breaches will never occur, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to enable any available account security features.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with our legal obligations and resolve disputes. Specific retention periods:

• Account and profile data — retained for the life of your account, plus a 14-day deletion grace period after account closure.
• Messages — retained for the life of the conversation and deleted with the account subject to the exceptions below.
• Safety and moderation records — retained for longer periods where required to enforce our policies, investigate reported incidents, or comply with legal obligations. Records related to serious violations may be retained indefinitely.
• Payment records — retained for the periods required by financial and tax regulations, typically seven years.
• AI Coach conversation data — retained in accordance with our standard message retention policy.

9. Account Deletion and Data Removal

You may request account deletion at any time through your account settings or by emailing privacy@pourtoi.love. A 14-day grace period applies before deletion is permanent, during which you may cancel the request and restore your account. After the grace period, your account and associated personal data will be permanently removed, subject to the following exceptions:

• Safety and moderation records relating to reports, violations, or law enforcement cooperation.
• Records required to be retained under applicable financial, tax, or regulatory laws.
• Anonymised or aggregated data that cannot be used to identify you.

10. International Data Transfers

Pour Toi operates globally and your data may be processed in countries other than the country in which you are located. Where data is transferred outside of your region, we take steps to ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Our sub-processors (including OpenAI, Google, and PayPal) operate internationally and process data in their own infrastructure regions.

11. Your Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate information through your account settings or by contacting us.
• Delete your account and associated data.
• Object to or restrict certain types of processing, including automated decision-making.
• Withdraw consent for specific processing activities (such as location collection) without affecting your right to use other features.
• Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

12. Children and Minors

Pour Toi is strictly for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a minor has created an account, we will remove the account and associated data promptly. If you believe a minor is using our platform, please report it to safety@pourtoi.love.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or in-app notice before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Services after the effective date of changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
